FROM TRIPLE J UNEARTHED. "At only 22 he's played over 300 shows in the last 3 years through 7 different countries with his band and as a solo performer. Velshur's sound is a fresh blend of funk, blues, folk and soul. Beginning primarily as a live band, a combination of residencies and touring saw Velshur performing twice, sometimes 3 times a day, in true Beatle fashion over the four months of the Australian winter in their first year, very quickly building their fan base and a reputation for performing their unique brand of soul warming funk rock. Velshur has become a sought after artist in the Byron Bubble, regularly headlining the locally renowned Great Northern and The Beach Hotels but has not fared away from on taking bigger things like hitting the stages on the other side of the hemisphere in typical obnoxious English bars such as 'Proud' in Camden Town, to trendy New York tea houses over the last few years."
